Fortunately it was merely a movie and we’re delighted to mention that the movie’s little village – Bodega Bay – has lived to become an increasingly popular getaway when it had been before Hitchcock chose it for his movie.

In fact, birds have been big business in Bodega. You can’t cross the street without some reminder which the movie was filmed.Proud To Be A Bird Nerd  Needless to say, no thing that the “real” restaurant burned down sometime ago and the replacement buildings bear no similarity to those found in the picture.
